Description
These double chunk chocolate cookies are rich, fudgy, and loaded with both dark and milk chocolate chunks. They have a soft, chewy center with a slightly crisp edge—perfect for chocolate lovers!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dark chocolate chunks
- 1 cup milk chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the dark and milk chocolate chunks.
- Using a cookie scoop, drop dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center looks slightly soft.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Enjoy with a glass of milk!
Notes
- For extra gooey cookies, slightly underbake them and let them cool on the tray.
- Use chopped chocolate bars instead of chips for extra melty pools of chocolate.
- Add a pinch of sea salt on top for a gourmet touch.
- Dough can be frozen for up to 3 months; bake from frozen with 1-2 extra minutes.
